What initiated as side project developed into a new service offering and capability for the studio. Having worked on a number of different AI projects in my first year at the Dock (AI for Risk Management, AI in Anti Money Laundering, Automated Invoice Processing, AI and Open Source data for counter Terrorism, AI for future workforce predicition and AI in Content Moderation) and having climbed the extremely steep learning curve, I began to think - "What do I wish I knew starting my first AI project?
The development to date has focused on a 1 Day Training Workshop on designing Human Centre Artificial Intelligence, Client Ideations Sessions and Workshops activities, new collaborative activities and methods for interdisciplinary teams, multiple Project Case Studies which document designing for explainable AI as a teammate, and 'Thought Leadership' content.
What was Involved:
As the development and expansion of the capability grew organically, my role ranged from initial hands on project experience to leading the development and delivery of training sessions across Fjord.
- Close collaboration with Advanced Analytics and Applied Intelligence teams on project work.
- Facilitation of cross Dock AI Guild meet-ups to learn more about each others processes and tools.
- Extension of existing methods and development of new methods to aid project collaboration on interdisciplinary project teams
- Design of training content for both Designers and Analytics experts to bridge the knowledge gap between both teams.
- Extraction and documentation of learnings and experience on the data/AI related projects
- Development of Design Guidelines and Principles for designing human centred Artificial Intelligence
- Design and development of a 1 day Interactive Training Workshop on Designing for AI which has been delivery internally to Fjord and Accenture colleagues and been adapted for multiple client sessions across Fjord Globally and the Client Innovation Services team in the Dock.
Outcomes & Impact
- Full day training workshop for designer, subject matter experts and AI experts alike, delivered in 4 countries, 14+ times, reaching over 200 people and counting.
- Modules of this work have been delivered at multiple client session in the Dock and across Accenture.
- 6+ new methods and activities developed which are being used on everyday projects
- The content developed is being shared through talks, articles and POV’s.
- This work has been used to demonstrate the value and need for new collaborative tools, methods and training across Fjord and Accenture. It has led to a full time project being set up to focus on developing the Data & Design & AI capability.
