The Challenge

The impact of AI on human jobs is an important topic, however many of the conversations around this are anecdotal rather than data driven. We explored how existing HR data could be combined with academic data sources can allow an organisation to project workforce impact.

Problem Statement: How can CXO's make informed decisions about how best to understand the impact of AI on their workforce? (Augmentation, Automation and new roles)

What was Involved

The core team was made up of Advances Analytics, Interaction and Visual design, HR Specialists and Software Developers. Working with Accenture Strategy we developed an interactive simulation prototype that provided data-driven insights into how digital (augmentation, automation, new skills / roles) can drive workforce performance and business outcomes.

Outcomes

The wireframes developed acted as a blueprint for the roll out of the next phase of development which included the AI overlay feature which highlights areas with potential for digital adoption, while also indicating the financial or productivity impact this adoption could have. This project has since expanded and developed to include Adaptive Workforce capabilities.

The following walkthrough follows a user as they investigate their workforce data to find opportunities for potential automation to increase performance and reduce cost. This specific user is interested in the UKI Geographical Unit and explores to find high potential in the Operations Organisation Unit.
